Why Oldschool Fails

Starving to get down to weight induces fatigue and eats away at a wrestler's muscle mass and strength.  When there's not enough energy coming into the body, it pulls nutrients from muscles to survive.


Losing fluid using traditional cutting methods pulls EXTRACELLULAR water from the body.  This is the same fluid the body uses to regulate organ function and health. For every 2 lbs of extracellular water weight lost, the bodies heart rate increases by 8 beats per minute.  When we steal extracellular fluid from the body, it's dangerous and leaves wrestlers feeling weak, fatigued and unable to focus.
