Weigh-ins should be an after thought
Starving to get down to weight induces fatigue and eats away at a wrestler's muscle mass and strength. When there's not enough energy coming into the body, it pulls nutrients from muscles to survive.
Losing fluid using traditional cutting methods pulls EXTRACELLULAR water from the body. This is the same fluid the body uses to regulate organ function and health. For every 2 lbs of extracellular water weight lost, the bodies heart rate increases by 8 beats per minute. When we steal extracellular fluid from the body, it's dangerous and leaves wrestlers feeling weak, fatigued and unable to focus.
This is Why The Roman Protocol Was Developed
The Roman Protocol is an alternative weigh-in strategy that trains the body to release INTRACELLULAR water. By using this process, wrestler's are able to lose a minimum of 3 to 6% of their total body weight WITHOUT starving, sweating or dehydrating for days on end.
Because The Roman Protocol manipulates intracellular water:
Wrestler's don't experience the fatigue, strength loss or dehydration symptoms that come with traditional cutting methods.
They get all of the BENEFITS of being able to make weight easily WITHOUT any of the nasty side effects.
An alternative weigh-in strategy that can be used to drop 5-10+ pounds in 24 hours WITHOUT skipping meals, starving or doing outdated, old school cutting techniques.
An individualized plan your wrestler can follow step-by-step to hit their off-season, pre-season, in-season, and tournament goals based on their OWN food preferences.
Weekly Q&A calls your wrestler & family can hop on at any time to ask any questions you have or get feedback from either Jackie or other wrestling parents going through the program.
A hub for resources including trainings, recipes, handouts, weekly goals and more. Program members will have access to the training portal including any updates for as long as the program exists.
Once you learn the process, your wrestler can reuse it for the rest of their wrestling career regardless of if they bump up or down. This means 3, 4 or 9+ years without using aggressive cutting techniques
